“Deal with it.” The dark sister sneered. She glared back at me then pointed at the table. “I’m not going to ask again, fish.”

“I refuse to get on that death trap.” I replied as my fists shook then I thrusted my chin out, “Make me.”

Dark one’s eyes became cool as her smug smile widened on her wormy mouth. She made rapid hand gestures then spat out a nonsense word, “Pariqulem.”

The world around me turned cool colors as light became tiny needles. Each of them pointed my way. Dark sister made another rapid motion with her hand and the blades soared towards me.

A thousand hot stings assaulted my flesh and I screamed out in pain. It was too much. My knees buckled and I sunk down to the ground as I continued screaming. More hot piercings bit into me and I writhed down onto the hard floor.

“Enough.” Tianna should out loud. Her hand cut in front of the other one then smacked her hands. Dark one let go of the configuration releasing the spell.

Whatever mojo or spell power this dark sister has it is certainly not good. The dark sister slapped Tianna across the face. She spat, “Don’t you dare interrupt me, again.”

The stings welled up on my arms, legs, neck and face. I sucked in air trying to control the sobs that heaved forth from my mouth. It was the end, my end, if I didn’t escape. I had no one coming to my rescue.

No one. Not even the teen wolf or his dad. My father wasn’t coming nor was any of the merpeople from the base. And Pearl?

Well, she’s crossed off the list too. She’s the same as Ray. Nothing but a traitorous merlock out for revenge. I wept and brought a hand to my swelling face. I should give up.

Pain blossomed in my gut as air whooshed out of the lungs. I curled up into a ball. The dark sister growled, “Get up, fish. Time’s a wasting.”

Another kick connected and a stabbing pain seared through my arm. Tianna pleaded, “Sister, stop. How will she be of any use if we beat her half to death?”

“Some use is better than no use.” She replied in a wicked tone then delivered another kick to my kidneys. I cried out.

“Get up fish.” Dark sister teased. “Or do you want to fry?”

I would rather die than help the witches gain more power. It’s the least that I can do to help save mankind from their reign. I said with a shaky breath, “I would rather die than help the witches and your kind.”

“So be it.” Dark sister replied. The room became lit with blue and white light that gathered in her hand.

Tianna threw her arms to help shield herself and squealed, “No, sister, don’t.”
